ESCo Register Online Webinar

SANEDI is getting ready to re-open the ESCo registration for a new round in September 2024. Please take note that the register will now remain OPEN, permitting current ESCos to register whenever they choose and existing ESCos to make necessary changes to their company profiles as needed. To prepare the ESCos on the re-opening, SANEDI will be hosting an ESCo Register Online Webinar to support both new and existing ESCos to be equipped for the re-opening. The webinar will walk ESCos through the registration process and the necessary company information needed.

SANEDI PLAN TO STOP LOADSHEDDING IN SIX (6) MONTHS

Problem Statement:

Eskom Energy Availability (EAF) factor is currently around 51%. By increasing the EAF to above 70%, loadshedding will stop immediately. This is considered a low hanging fruit. By focusing on the EAF does not mean all other plans, including adding new capacity must be stopped or slowed down. In fact, the other plans must be accelerated. However, if the objective is to stop loadshedding in 6 months, then improving the EAF is the quickest and least-cost option. The big question is how to achieve this improvement in EAF from about 51% to above 70% in six months? .
